PROGRAMS OFFERED
The Chatsworth Skating Club offers programs for skaters from the age of 2 and up for all levels of ability. All programs are taught by a Skate Canada certified coach in a group format that offers a low skater to coach ratio. All lessons are offered at the Keady Community Centre, an ideal central location in the heart of Grey County.
For the 2024-25 skating season we are once again expanding our offerings. The season will begin on Monday, September 30, 2024 and runs until Friday, March 21, 2025, with a small break around Christmas. The Chatsworth Skating Club will once again offer four programs, Parent & Tot, Pre-CanSkate, CanSkate and Shooting Stars, and StarSkate programs. See below for specific timing of each program.
Born from pandemic restrictions, the Parent & Tot program teaches skaters the fundamentals of the Pre-CanSkate and CanSkate program with the assistance of the parent to assist the skater while being led through the Coach directed activities. Ideal for our youngest of skaters who are unable to skate unassisted or new to the sport. This program is ideal for skaters aged 2-3 years of age or for children who require "their" parents assistance instead of an instructor/program assistant.

Pre-CanSkate program is geared towards the younger skater with little skating experience. This program is a wonderful beginning, usually intended for skaters who are pre-school years of age. All learning progressions are presented in a fun-filled format. Coaches and program assistants engage skaters in creative games, imaginative play and action songs to maximize fun and learning. Completion of this program ensures that your skater is ready for the CanSkate program.
